  It was an unplanned stop. In the area for other things, we needed a quick bite and a cold beer. Our first visit.
  
  We happened to come on a Tuesday, which is "burger day"-buy one get one free. Perfect!
  
  So we ordered two draft Miller Lights and two Mushroom burgers which each came with fries and a pickle. One medium, one well, both with well done fries.
  
  Food came quickly and - they got it right! Bravo. Now it may not seem like a big deal, but we've ordered the similar meal dozens of times, and it's usually screwed up.
  
  The burgers were very tasty, and quite large. I'm talking really good. A bit charred, tender and juicy with ample mushrooms and gruyere on a brioche bun. Well done fries were excellent-as good as I've ever had. Btw, the beer was cold and delicious too. They have quite a selection of craft beers also.
  
  And the price, once the bartender got the check right, was outstanding.
  
  All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stop.
  
  Note: I was a bit put off at first when I realized it was a Baker's restaurant as I frequent Baker's Water Street where most of the food, aside from the pizzas (margherita and arugula are excellent) and a few apps is consistently sub par, at times inedible. That was NOT the case here. Only had the burgers at Baker's American but so far, so good!
  
  Great lunch, great deal.

  I don't understand some of these negative reviews.
  Overall great atmosphere and food. The food was great, just needed salt for extra flavor. The mushroom pizza pie is AMAZING!  Worth trying!

  Pretty good bar type food.  The brisket sandwich and horseradish sauce is my favorite!

  Decent place to grab a bite to eat, have a beer and/or catch a game on one of their big screens. Food is standard American bar food but hits the spot. Buffalo chicken dip is amazing and very plentiful. Perfect for sharing for a group of 4. Burgers are huge and they have delicious looking pies. Soups looked yummy. Very awesome happy hour menu with reasonable prices and great specials that occur weekly. Dark lighting and rustic patriotic decor make for this place a cozy place to eat.

  I have come here serval times but last stop I was disappointed with the appetizer... we ordered the combination platter the mozzarella sticks were cold and the chicken fingers were hard they changed the sliders before it use to bring delicious caramelized onions this time they switch to fried strings ( like French's onions )  so the slider was dry with dry... I did order a personal pizza which was delicious and will only return for their pizza ... I had the cracked egg pizza that came with spinach prosciutto and cheese so tasty .. my
  Partner ordered a burger which he described as dry or over done .. didn't have the dessert but I'm not sure if I would even try the dessert here ... if your in the mood for pizza I recommend trying this restaurant
